Subway is announcing a new fitness competition designed to increase public awareness and education that obesity in children is generally caused by a lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns or a combination of the two.
They want a 30-60 second video or a 8.5 X 11 Poster.
A video would be more fun.
Two grand-prize winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced live on Good Things Utah on June 6th. Each winner receives free subway dinner for a family of four for a complete year, free sporting event tickets and a $1000.00 fitness grant to purchase sports equipment for their school and to play one-on-one with a Utah Jazz Player!
So here is an outline of my video idea.
Quick shot of surfing google earth and geocaching.com
Quick shot of family picking up sandwiches at Subway of course
Stuff the food in a backpack and head for Antelope island.
Get shots of using the GPS and hiking on a trail leading to a geocache.
find the cache then eat lunch and hike away.
The point: geocaching is a fun family fitness thing.
