American Goldfinch

I was stuck on Iowa for a week.  I thought about attempting some corn or the Field of Dreams but wasn't sure how to approach it.  So I tried their state bird, the American Goldfinch, instead. The female is on the left. Male on the right.

According to Instagram I painted this 49 weeks ago.  I also commented that watercolors are stinking hard.  I love trying, but I haven't developed the patience for it yet. 

I also said I'd  keep trying.
