Acadia National Park Watercolor Study
This painting was done on January 3rd of last year and I'm adding it to my blog as part of my draw or paint 50 states challenge I completed in 2015.
This is an old stone bridge in Acadia National Park.
This is what I wrote when I posted it to Instagram:
I stalled a bit on doing Maine. I got some paints for Christmas and was excited to try them. But watercolor is difficult for the impatient like me. They just run all over the place! I'm just going to put a lid on it and move on.
Looking back on it, I see a lot of things I like about the painting but even more that I would rather fix.
For the most part I consider these attempts as studies that I am trying to learn from
