I regressed when I did Michigan for draw 50 states. I used colored pencils hoping that I could do some really good detail. I abandoned the attempt after I saw it wasn't working well. Sometimes, moving on from a failure is the best thing to do, or call it a sketch/study and learn from it. Maybe that's what I'll say. It's just a quick sketch.
This sketch is of Chapel Rock in Michigan. The real thing at the
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore looks like a place that would be fun to visit. Seeing new places, even if virtually, was part of the goal of this project. Now it is time to move on. Minnesota is next.
