Digitally Painted Quilt Block

My wife loves to quilt.  I obviously like to draw and paint.  I thought it would be fun to attempt to paint some quilt blocks.

I tried to get that crinkly pooffy look of a quilt and I think I mostly suceeded. If I try again I think I will spend more time with my "sewing" precision. 

For the stitching, I used the really cool sticker spray with a downloaded  sticker. 

In the Artrage software, a sticker is like a custom brush that lays down a predefined pattern.

I used the snap to grid feature for getting the pieces to line up right.  I drew the outlines and stiched the edges in that mode but turned it off while painting the quilt pieces themselves.
